New Single
"Ghosts of Everything In You"

THE WORLD ON LOAN is Introspective Alt-Rock with a Drop of Tie-Dyed, Rebellious Free Spirit!

The Niverville Manitoba based project is the brainchild of Solo-Artist: Trevor Lux who came out of the gate firing.  The project was made official on August 22nd 2024 with the release of a rousing and poignant rendition of “For What It’s Worth’ (originally by Buffalo Springfield).  A song sets the tone for what was to follow.  It is a song that Lux says always spoke to him from a lyrical standpoint.

This came a few years after the Lux’s Previous project - Plain As Ghosts dissolved.
Originally the name - THE WORLD ON LOAN was one of Lux’s ideas in the running when Plain As Ghosts was formed and ultimately not used so, he kept it in his back pocket to use somewhere and when the band faded there was still a creative pull which, to Lux meant he can’t quit making music. He felt that with many years of experience, perhaps it was time to start something of his own.

Since the beginning of THE WORLD ON LOAN, Lux has pulled from his past influences in punk and DIY ethos while integrating music he is currently listening to by adding alt-pop and electronic elements into the sound.
In the beginning of the project, Trevor reached out to some friends to collaborate with online.  He landed musical contributions to the project from some incredibly talented people whom he is fortunate to call friends such as:
Myles Clayborne, Matty Shreds, Max Dupas aka Hamburger Island and Kevin Hill with more exciting collaborations on the way. (Shhh, we can’t say just yet…)
All the production is done in Niverville Manitoba under the guidance of Evan St. Cyr who mixes and produces all of the tracks.

The World On Loan is has released 2 original singles to date - “Ghosts of Everything In You” and “3AM Soul” both of which are deeply personal to Lux.  He has also released 2 cover songs and a remix.  There are several singles in the hopper currently nearing release with an EP to follow.

Lux, who is 43yrs old was recently on the receiving end of some online negativity regarding pursuing music at his age.   He felt it was perhaps a bit comical.  “I didn’t know that music and art had an expiration date” Lux laughed.   That has set a fire in which Lux is seeking to prove to himself, if not anyone else that music or art of any kind, just like age are limited only my one’s perspective.
