New Single
"Burnin Up"
Today Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia rock trio The Boojums release their new self-titled album via Having Fun Records, a new imprint of Toronto’s We Are Busy Bodies.
The band returns with a brand new video shot around Cape Breton, and first not to be shot close-up in their practice space. Their previously released live video of the song has racked up over 230,000 views on YouTube earning thousands of enthusiastic comments and new fans alike.
Formed in late 2024 and known for uploading fuzzed-out live VHS tapes to Reddit, Instagram and YouTube, The Boojums have quickly built a reputation for their refreshingly raw and unfiltered sound—equal parts nostalgic and forward-looking. Recorded live off the floor, their debut album channels themes of small-town escape, personal reckoning, and full-throttle freedom.
“Burnin Up is about this one is about going for the person you want to be with and knowing that it’s not just a fling,” says guitarist and vocalist Willie Stratton.
