Social Hysteria is a Canadian alternative rock band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 2013 and known for its blend of gritty riffs, melodic hooks, and high‑energy performances. They have earned national and international attention with radio airplay across Canada, charting in the Canadian Rock Top 100 with the single “Skewed Overrule,” and winning the International Portuguese Music Award for Best Rock Performance for their song “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

The band is currently releasing a new album produced by renowned multi‑instrumentalist Alain Johannes (former member of Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, Chris Cornell’s solo band, and Eleven), which features guest performances by Johannes himself, former Pearl Jam drummer David Abbruzzese, Matt Johnson (former drummer for Jeff Buckley and St. Vincent), and Kevin Figueiredo of Extreme. This upcoming release marks a significant step in Social Hysteria’s evolution, pairing their raw, modern rock sound with the signature touch of some of alternative and hard rock’s most respected players.
