"While You're Here"
Bandana Sons is a rock band from Toronto and Georgina deeply resonating with themes of love, loss, and time in their music, which combines raw rock energy with emotive lyrics. The band includes John Shipley, song writer, vocals, rhythm guitar, and bass; Adam Ford on drums and lead guitarist and executive producer Jordan Cattonar.
Their partnership with indie label McVey’s Music, owned by Ryan McVey who has known the band members since their high school days in Markham in the '90s, led to the release of their initial singles "Wish It Back" and "This Minute" on a 7-inch vinyl. These were well-received in the local underground vinyl scene and are available at Now and Then Records, Chase the Glory Records in Oshawa; Another Spin Records in Oshawa & Whitby; Brian's Record Option in Kingston; EastEnd Electric Records in Fenelon Falls; and Connors Music in Keswick.
Their latest release, "While We're Here," is expected to strike a chord with those who understand the fleeting nature of our existence. The song prompts listeners to cherish their time, make meaningful connections, and take a stand, resonating with the urgency to make the most of our moments. Together, Bandana Sons continues to create compelling soundscapes that engage and resonate deeply with their audience.
