ROCK THE HOUSE, a Habitat For Humanity Fundraiser!
Rock The House is our first annual Rock Concert fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity Durham being held Saturday June 20, 2009. This year the concert is being held at the Durham College & UOIT Student Centre (2000 Simcoe St. North) with two live concerts with 5 bands.
1:00 PM TO 5:00 PM (AGES 13-19)
The afternoon event will host four up and coming bands from the Durham Region. Paperback summer, Unit Thirty Three, Cut Throat Kids and Isle of Thieves. We will also have a Guitar Hero Showdown sponsored by Future Shop (Harmony and Taunton Rd. Oshawa) that anyone can enter. We will have prizes and giveaways as well as a magician and “Vendor’s Alley” featuring local vendors.
7:00 PM (19+ section)
The evening concert starting at 7:00 pm will feature “The Community Soul Project” with hits from the 60’s. 70’s and 80’s.
Tickets to either event are $10.00 and can be purchased at The Future Shop (Harmony and Tauton rds Oshawa) and The Future Shop (HWY 2 Ajax), The Tuck Shop, Student Centre Durham College & UOIT 2000 Simcoe St. N.
