Brothers of North

Posted by Shane Macaulay on 2017/05/12

Since forming in 2013, BON has been moving steadily toward the front of Toronto's music scene with performances at Edgefest, 97.7's Biggs & BBQ, 94.9 the Rock’s Generation Next, Fearless Fred's Movember to Remember, The Edge Next Big Thing Series, and a main stage performance with Dine Alone Records in Ottawa. Their hard work and dedication has earned them opening slots for major acts such as Monster Truck, I Mother Earth, Wintersleep, Finger Eleven, and Hannah Georgas, among others.

They’ve been working on their first full length crowd funded album, produced by Hiren Mistry (Big Wreck, Billy Talent), and mixed by I Mother Earth’s Jag Tanna. With the new release slated for mid 2017, and after early successes like the Edge next Big Thing contest and Indie award Nominations, BON appears to be poised for a big leap forward...

And besides, aren't they just one of those bands you wanna root for? Why wouldn't you? Catchy Tunes, fantastic live, cool facial hair, and hey... they aren't douches. If that doesn't describe a Canadian four Piece from Aurora, Ontario, that you want to cheer on, well I just don't know what does.
